Just visiting

Today is the anniversary of my first independent trip to the west coast. It has been almost thirty six years. I wound up in Quesnel BC. My first work was with the Cariboo Pulp and Paper.

Later I worked for a pool hall. They had no internet back then. Come to think of it. I have no internet now either.

In a future blog you're going to have to explain the difference between a non-independent trip to the west coast and an independent trip to the west coast.

The former wasn't in shackles and chains, headed out to build the railroad through the mountains, was it?

Oh, right, you moved from a remote, small town, surrounded by water and hills and supported by a paper mill to a remote, small town, surrounded by water and mountains and supported by a paper mill.

I can see where the latter would be so much better than the former and well worth the trip.

Some days I'm just so funny!
