It is amazing. Friends of Bush are back in Congress still trying to get that $700B free lunch that they wanted.
At the moment its before the Senate. They did however add some restrictions.
Not to be outdone, one top executive worked at a failed bank for about two weeks to get discharged and got a golden parachute for $19M.
Ordinary peeps are pissed (OPAP).

It turns out there's enough crooked or just plain stupid Senators in the US to transfer a trillion dollars (for starters, anyway) from the poor and the middle class to a very small number of wealthy people.
That includes BOTH major presidential candidates, by the way.
Now all they have to do is to bribe a few more Congress critters and the rich get fabulously richer while the poor - well, to hell with the poor and the middle class voters - they're just a joke anyway.

So much for Soviet Canuckistan. At least Canada still (sort of) believes in capitalism.
What will it be? The United Soviet Socialist States of America (USSSA) or just Soviet Americanistan?
That choking sound you hear is the rest of the world, trying not to laugh and/or cry out loud, especially the Iraqis and Afghans, who've recently been liberated in the name of democracy and freedom and capitalism.
