City Mismanager needed

Unreal is the word. Democracy in its basic form is being subverted by a power hungry mayor. Shirley Hoy, City Manager of Toronto, resigned over differences with the ever cliquish council and mayor.

Instead of having an open competition for the position, Toronto Mayor, David Miller, is arbitrarily selecting a candidate of his choice. No vote. No choice. No examination of the candidate credentials. So much for Democracy. So much for the city of Toronto. So begins the rule of the entitled class.

Slimy politicians, usually only short term participants in the power game, always seem to hate senior bureaucrats, who can often survive a lifetime career, wielding power.

Perhaps Mister Mayor ought to have taken into consideration all the other bureaucrats, vastly outnumbering and surrounding him.

If they happened to like and respect the old City Mismanager, they could soon begin to make life most 'interesting' for Mister Mayor and his friends.
