With an old twist on a new theme the Toronto Police are trying to mask another scandal by picking on the poorest of the poor. A drug sweep in Etobicoke would yield far more drugs but those people can afford lawyers, indeed many are lawyers. The poor area is Regent Park in Toronto. Not too many lawyers in that place.
Two of the eighteen people picked up in the summer's big drug raid were police officers. One of them from the infamous 51 Division.
